Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
  2. Beat eggs, sugar, and cherry juice until well combined.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix thoroughly.
  4. Fold in chopped nuts and maraschino cherries.
  5. Pour the batter into a waxed paper lined loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool before removing from the pan and slicing.
