Ingredients

  • 8 oz. jar mushrooms (undrained, whole or sliced)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 c. Burgundy wine
  • 1 Tbsp. corn starch

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Saute sliced onion with garlic salt and pepper in the butter for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the jar of mushrooms (undrained), Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and Burgundy wine to the saucepan.
  4. Cook on low heat for 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Add the cornstarch mixture to the mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Can be prepared a day in advance and reheated before serving.
  8. Adjust the amount of cornstarch to achieve desired thickness.
