Ingredients

  • 5 to 7 lb. brisket
  • 5 oz. soy sauce
  • 10 oz. beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 clove garlic

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, beef broth, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, and chopped garlic to make the marinade.
  2. Soak the brisket in the marinade for 24 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. Place the marinated brisket in an ungreased shallow pan, cover, and bake for 4 to 5 hours or until tender.
  5. Remove the brisket, slice it thinly, and put the slices back into the marinade.
  6. Bake for an additional hour longer.
