Ingredients

  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
  • 2 small bay leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound boneless lamb
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 sweet red pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chutney
  • hot cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Cut meat and vegetables into 1-inch squares.
  2. In a bowl, mix onion soup mix, water, red wine, vegetable oil, minced garlic, crushed basil, bay leaves, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the lamb and vegetables to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight for deeper flavor.
  5. Thread the meat and vegetables onto skewers.
  6. Grill the kabobs over medium heat until the meat is cooked to desired doneness, about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. Serve hot with chutney and hot cooked rice.
