Ingredients

  • chopped chicken breasts
  • 1 lb. dry white beans
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 fresh chopped tomato
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients with water in a large pot.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until beans are tender.
  3. Omit red pepper if a milder chili is desired.
  4. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
