Ingredients

  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  2. Heat oil in skillet (black iron one if available).
  3. Mix dry ingredients; add milk and egg.
  4. Stir well. Pour in skillet and cook until brown, about 20 minutes.
