Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. melted oleo
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp. Tabasco pepper sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Veg-All mixed vegetables, drained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Combine melted oleo and flour; stir constantly to make the base sauce.
  2. Gradually add beef broth and Tabasco sauce; simmer until sauce thickens and boils.
  3. Brown the ground beef; drain excess fat.
  4. Add drained mixed vegetables and salt to the beef; mix well.
  5. Combine the meat and vegetable mixture with the base sauce.
  6. Bake a pie crust for 10 minutes at 400°F.
  7. Pour the meat mixture into the pre-baked pie crust.
  8. Mix grated cheese, egg, and milk together.
  9. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly over the meat filling in the pie.
  10. Bake the assembled pie for 15 to 20 minutes at 400°F until golden and bubbly.
