Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean hamburger
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. onion soup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 c. soft bread
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients: lean hamburger, cream cheese, onion soup, salt, nutmeg, soft bread, and milk.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Cook the meatballs in a skillet until the meat is done.
  4. Remove the meatballs from the skillet.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of flour to the skillet drippings and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually add 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Pour the sauce over the cooked meatballs and serve.
