Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb beef
  • 1/2 lb veal
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour

Instructions

  1. Let the meat go through a meat chopper 4 to 6 times or more.
  2. Add flour, salt, and pepper; mix thoroughly.
  3. Add egg and milk slowly, mixing constantly.
  4. Form into small balls and drop into boiling water.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Rinse the meatballs with cold water in a strainer.
  7. Do not cook too many meatballs at a time; about 10 to 12, depending on the size of the pot.
  8. These meatballs can be used as dumplings for soup recipes.
