Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean beef, ground
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (8 oz.) package herb-flavored bread stuffing mix

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine ground beef, salt, pepper, minced onion, and milk in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Prepare the herb-flavored stuffing mix as directed on the package.
  5. Layer the ingredients in the prepared loaf pan, starting with a layer of meat, then stuffing, then meat again, ending with a layer of meat, for a total of three meat layers and two stuffing layers.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
