Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 to 4 slices bread (crumbs)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large sweet pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix together the bread crumbs, milk, diced onion, chopped sweet pepper, eggs, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the lean hamburger to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf about 10 1/2 inches long.
  4. Place the loaf in a baking dish and spread ketchup over the top.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
