Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables

Instructions

  1. Combine hamburger, cracker crumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper; form into 20 meatballs.
  2. Brown the meatballs in oil over medium heat.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, dry onion soup mix, and sugar.
  4. Add the browned meatballs and frozen mixed vegetables to the sauce.
  5. Simmer the soup for 30 minutes before serving.
