Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 large can tomato sauce
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 bag egg noodles
  • 1 jar sliced mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain the excess grease.
  2. Add chopped bell pepper and onion to the beef and cook until tender.
  3. Stir in the tomato sauce, cream of mushroom soup, water, salt, pepper, and sliced mushrooms into the meat mixture.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, boil the egg noodles until al dente and drain.
  6. Mix the cooked egg noodles with the meat mixture.
  7. Pour the combined mixture into a large baking dish or pan.
  8. Top generously with cheese.
  9. Cover the dish and bake at 300°F for 15 to 20 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
