Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sifted sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 cups sifted flour
  • 4 tablespoons baking powder
  • cinnamon as desired
  • milk as needed
  • 1/2 cup orange juice

Instructions

  1. Beat together sifted sugar, baking powder, and melted butter. Add eggs.
  2. Slowly add the flour, orange juice, cinnamon, and milk until mixture is thick but somewhat runny.
  3. Pour into a loaf pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350°F.
