Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising meal
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup creamed corn
  • 1/2 cup green sweet peppers
  • 8 or 9 hot peppers
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup onions
  • 3/4 cup sweet milk
  • 1 cup cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine self-rising meal, self-rising flour, creamed corn, chopped green sweet peppers, hot peppers, sugar, cooking oil, eggs, chopped onions, sweet milk, and cheese.
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well blended.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish or pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread is done.
