Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/4 c. green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. fine noodles
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 can mushroom soup

Instructions

  1. Heat shortening in a skillet.
  2. Add ground beef, green pepper, and chopped onion.
  3. Cook until slightly brown.
  4. Add chili powder and garlic salt.
  5. Sprinkle noodles over the meat mixture.
  6. Pour water into the skillet.
  7. Mix tomato soup and mushroom soup together and pour over the meat and noodles.
  8. Cover the skillet.
  9. Bring to steaming, then turn to low heat and cook for 25 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle grated cheese over the mixture.
  11. Cook for another 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
