Ingredients

  • 3 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. crushed nuts
  • 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients, except the nuts, in a glass dish or microwave-safe dish.
  2. Cook in the microwave for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from microwave and quickly stir until smooth.
  4. Add nuts and pour into a pan to cool.

Tips & Substitutions

For an extra creamy fudge, consider using half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate chips. If you prefer a nut-free version, simply omit the nuts or replace them with additional marshmallows. For a flavor twist, try adding a tablespoon of espresso powder or a pinch of cinnamon to enhance the chocolate flavor. This fudge pairs beautifully with Maddie'S Cookies for a delightful dessert platter.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the fudge into small squares for a perfect bite-sized treat. It’s great on its own or served alongside fresh fruit for contrast. Consider pairing it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzling it with caramel sauce for an indulgent dessert. This fudge also makes a fantastic gift when wrapped in decorative packaging.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftover fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate it for up to two weeks. If you prefer to enjoy it warm, pop a piece in the microwave for a few seconds to soften it before serving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different types of chocolate chips?

Absolutely! You can experiment with different varieties of chocolate chips, such as semi-sweet, dark, or even white chocolate, to customize the flavor of your fudge. Just keep in mind that the sweetness level may vary, so adjust the amount of sugar or other sweeteners accordingly if you choose a less sweet chocolate.

What can I use instead of Eagle Brand milk?

If you’re looking for a substitute for Eagle Brand milk, you can use homemade sweetened condensed milk or a dairy-free version made from coconut milk and coconut sugar. Just ensure the consistency is similar to that of sweetened condensed milk for the best results.

Can I add other mix-ins to the fudge?

Definitely! You can enhance your fudge by adding mix-ins like dried fruits, crushed cookies, or even sprinkles. Just remember to keep the total amount of solids similar to the original recipe to maintain the fudge's texture. This flexibility allows you to create a variety of flavors and textures.
