Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 can French fried onion rings

Instructions

  1. Spread grated cheese evenly over the bottom of the baked pie shell.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, evaporated milk or heavy cream, cayenne pepper, and salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese in the pie shell.
  4. Sprinkle French fried onion rings over the top of the mixture.
  5. Microwave on 50% power for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the center is firm.
  6. Let the quiche rest for 5 minutes before serving.
