- Peel and cut mirlitons into small cubes.
- Cook mirliton cubes with garlic, half of the onions, bell peppers, and celery for 25 minutes.
- Saute shrimp and ground meat with the remaining vegetables in 3 tablespoons of oil.
- Cook the shrimp and meat mixture for 20 minutes.
- Add the can of mushroom gravy to the mixture.
- Combine the cooked mirliton, chopped tomato, and seasonings with the meat and shrimp mixture.
- Cook the combined mixture for an additional 15 minutes.
- Season to taste before serving.
