Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup quick cook oats
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut
  • chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly mix all ingredients except nuts.
  2. Pour the mixture into an unbaked pie shell.
  3. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top.
  4. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  6. Do not overbake. This makes a very large pie.
  7. You can double the recipe and bake three 9-inch pies.
