Ingredients

  • 2 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 sleeves of crackers, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp catsup
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place hamburger meat in a large bowl.
  3. Add salt, pepper, catsup, eggs, and chopped onion.
  4. Mix well until ingredients are combined.
  5. Add crushed crackers and shape mixture in a large baking pan.
  6. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Drain off excess grease from the meatloaf.
  8. Pour tomato paste, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and brown sugar over the meatloaf.
  9. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until done.
