Ingredients

  • 1 cup hot rise corn bread
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup cream-style corn
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 3 hot banana peppers, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup diced cheese
  • ham or hamburger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the hot rise corn bread, chopped onion, milk, sugar, oil, cream-style corn, self-rising flour, chopped banana peppers, chopped green pepper, and diced cheese.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. If desired, add ham or hamburger to the mixture and mix.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
