Ingredients

  • 1 cake yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • dried rosemary
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm water; stir to dissolve yeast.
  2. Add flour, 2 teaspoons salt, and finely chopped onion; knead until smooth.
  3. Place dough in an oiled bowl and let rise until doubled in size.
  4. Punch dough down and flatten on an oiled cookie sheet to about one inch thickness.
  5. Oil the top of the dough.
  6. Let it rise until doubled in size again.
  7. Sprinkle with salt and dried rosemary.
  8. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
