Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large very ripe bananas
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix very well in a large bowl the sugar, mashed bananas, and beaten egg.
  2. Sift and mix in the dry ingredients: flour, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add melted butter, vanilla, and chopped nuts.
  4. Mix very well until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 to 50 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool completely before removing from the pan.
  8. Do not cover until completely cooled.
  9. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers.
