Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. mostaccioli noodles
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • Kraft grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet; add chopped green pepper and onion. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato paste, water, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Simmer briefly.
  4. In a 2-quart casserole, layer half of the cooked mostaccioli noodles, meat sauce, and sliced Velveeta cheese. Repeat layers.
  5. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
