Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 c. mostaccioli or penne macaroni
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 c. cooked broccoli
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook mostaccioli according to package directions; drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt margarine.
  3. Stir in flour until blended.
  4. Add milk; cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder, thyme, and nutmeg.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. In a large bowl, combine mostaccioli, cheese sauce, and broccoli.
  8. Spoon into a 12 x 9-inch baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle Swiss cheese over the top.
  10. Bake at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes until thoroughly heated.
