Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 c. black olives, chopped
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 lb. package mostaccioli
  • 2 Tbsp. softened butter
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and chopped onion; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped black olives, grated Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, oregano leaves, and crushed red pepper; simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Prepare mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions.
  4. Toss cooked pasta with softened butter.
  5. Arrange the pasta in a 3-quart shallow baking dish.
  6. Pour the meat sauce over the pasta.
  7. Top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
  8. Place under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes until cheese melts and is bubbly.
