- Remove mushroom stems and mince them.
- Place mushroom caps rounded side down on a cookie sheet.
- Drain clams and save the liquid.
- Over medium heat, melt butter and brush it on the mushroom caps.
- In the remaining butter, sauté mushroom stems, garlic, and clam juice until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced clams, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Tuck the clam mixture into the mushroom caps.
- Broil the stuffed mushrooms for 8 minutes.
