Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 8 oz. can water
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 onion, grated

Instructions

  1. Brown the grated onion in a little bit of olive oil; set aside.
  2. Brown the hamburger; drain excess fat.
  3. In a large pan, add the cooked onion, hamburger, water, tomato sauce, chili powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir well to mix all ingredients together.
  5. Cook over slow heat for about 45 minutes.
  6. Serve with fresh French bread and optionally top with grated Cheddar cheese.
