Ingredients

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and margarine.
  2. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  5. Allow the bread to rise and then fall during baking.
  6. Remove from the oven when the bread has fallen and is hard if overcooked.
  7. Slice and serve.
