Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 4 carrots grated
  • 1 1/2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 4 to 6 medium unpeeled potatoes grated
  • 3 to 4 cups tomato sauce
  • chopped onion (optional)
  • salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grate the potatoes and carrots.
  3. Brown the ground beef and chop onions if using.
  4. Layer grated potatoes, carrots, cooked ground beef, chopped onions, and tomato sauce in a baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 2 hours until bubbly and golden.
