Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cans minced clams, drained and juice reserved
  • 3 cans clam chowder
  • 6 cans cream of potato soup
  • 1/2 gallon half and half cream

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
  2. Cover and bake at 200°F for four hours or simmer for four hours.
  3. Stir every hour during cooking.
  4. If the mixture becomes too thick, add the extra clam juice.
  5. This chowder freezes well.
