Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups nuts
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon ground lemon rind
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Grind the nuts and mix them with the egg yolks, sugar, cocoa, lemon rind, and baking soda.
  2. Fold in the whipped egg whites into the nut and egg yolk mixture.
  3. Pour the batter into a nonstick pan and bake for 1 hour on medium heat.
  4. Once baked, sprinkle the cake with confectioners sugar before serving.
