Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 cup pecans
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. parsley
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and add pecans.
  2. Saute over low heat until lightly browned.
  3. Cool and chop fine.
  4. Stir in salt and parsley.
  5. Set aside.
  6. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and Cheddar cheese until smooth.
  7. Add milk, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper sauce to the cheeses.
  8. Chill until firm, about one hour.
  9. Roll the cheese mixture into a 7-inch log using wax paper.
  10. Roll the log in the nut mixture to coat evenly.
  11. Wrap tightly with wax paper or plastic wrap and chill overnight.
  12. Serve sliced with fruit, crackers, or crudités. Perfect with a sparkling wine.
