Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups oats
  • 12 ounces Nestle butterscotch flavored morsels

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  3. Gradually beat in the flour mixture.
  4. Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  6. Bake in preheated 375°F oven for 7 to 8 minutes for chewy cookies, or 9 to 10 minutes for crisp cookies.
  7. Cool for 2 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
