Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use frozen okra for this recipe?

Yes, frozen okra can be used as a convenient alternative. Just make sure to thaw and drain it before adding to the dish to avoid excess water. Adjust the cooking time slightly if needed, as frozen vegetables may require a bit longer to cook through.

What can I do if I want to add more protein to the dish?

To increase the protein content, consider adding cooked beans or chickpeas to the medley. You could also serve it alongside grilled tofu or tempeh for a hearty, plant-based meal. These options will complement the flavors well without overpowering the dish.

How can I make this dish spicier?

To add some heat, include diced jalapeños or a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the vegetables. You can also drizzle some hot sauce over the dish just before serving for an extra kick. Adjust the spice level to suit your taste preferences.
