  2. Drain the corn in a colander.
  3. In the same casserole, mix sugar and cornstarch.
  4. Stir in vinegar and 1/3 cup cold water.
  5. Add the cooked corn, chopped celery, chopped green pepper, chopped pimento, chopped onion, ground turmeric, and dry mustard to the mixture.
  6. Cook uncovered at high for 5 minutes until the mixture is thickened and bubbly, stirring after each minute.
