Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups pitted Kalamata olives
  • 3 tablespoons toasted walnuts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons coarse-grained Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the pitted Kalamata olives and 3 tablespoons of toasted walnuts in a food processor.
  2. Add olive oil, Dijon mustard, garlic, thyme, oregano, sage, and cayenne pepper to the processor.
  3. Process until the mixture is coarsely pureed.
  4. Stir in the remaining 1/4 cup of chopped toasted walnuts.
  5. Serve the spread on French baguette slices brushed with olive oil and toasted until golden.
