Olive surprises are savory, cheesy bites with a creamy exterior and salty stuffed olives inside, perfect as an appetizer or party snack for cheese and olive lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 36 medium stuffed olives
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sifted flour

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter and grated Cheddar cheese together.
  2. Add paprika, salt, and sifted flour to the mixture and blend well.
  3. Chill the dough for about 20 minutes.
  4. Shape the chilled dough around each stuffed olive.
  5. Bake at 400°F until golden and cooked through.
  6. Serve hot or cold.
