Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 1/2 c. blended oatmeal (measure and blend in blender to a fine powder)
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs (can use egg whites)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and both sugars.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda.
  3. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts.
  4. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
