Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the kielbasa sausage into 1/4-inch slices.
  2. Chop the potatoes into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Chop the cabbage into 2-inch strips.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a large frying pan or Dutch oven and heat.
  5. Add the potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add the cabbage, a beef bouillon cube dissolved in 1 cup hot water, chopped onion, and bell pepper.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and Cajun spice seasoning if desired.
  9. Simmer until the cabbage is tender but not mushy.
