Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 c. thinly sliced onion
  • 2 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 c. beef broth
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add thinly sliced onions and cook about 8 minutes until tender.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  7. Before serving, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
