Ingredients

  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix the yellow cake mix, 1 beaten egg, and 1 stick of melted margarine until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the base.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and 2 beaten eggs until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cake mix layer in the pan.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans, rolled in a small amount of powdered sugar, evenly over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until set and golden around the edges.
