Ingredients

  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 6 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Mix brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, butter (or margarine) and vanilla together.
  2. Sift flour, soda and salt together and add to the sugar mixture.
  3. Stir well until the dough is stiff enough to drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet and press flat.
  4. Bake at 350°F until the cookies are light brown.
