A hearty and flavorful baked chili casserole with ground beef, beans, olives, and melted cheese, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 15 oz. kidney beans (with liquid)
  • 1 c. canned milk
  • 2 1/2 oz. drained, chopped olives
  • crushed corn chips
  • shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with chopped onion; pour off excess fat.
  2. Stir in chili powder, tomato sauce, kidney beans with liquid, canned milk, and chopped olives.
  3. Cover the bottom of a buttered 2-quart casserole dish with a layer of crushed corn chips.
  4. Pour the meat mixture over the chips and top with additional crushed corn chips.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes until bubbling.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and return to the oven until cheese melts.
