Ingredients

  • 1 lb. raw hamburger
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup green peppers
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 7 oz. uncooked spaghetti
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger and chopped onions in a skillet.
  2. Add green peppers to the browned meat and onions.
  3. Pour off excess fat once the meat is cooked.
  4. Combine the cooked meat mixture with tomatoes, mushrooms, water, salt, sugar, chili powder, and uncooked spaghetti in a baking dish.
  5. Cover and bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, add cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until cheese melts.
