  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces

  3. Cover the pan loosely with foil sprayed with Pam on the side next to the pan.
  4. Then cover with a clean towel.
  5. Allow to sit on the counter overnight to rise.
  6. If risen over the top of the pan, punch with fingers to deflate and it will fall back.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using a mix of light and dark brown sugar instead of just one type. You can also substitute walnuts for pecans if you prefer. If you want to add a hint of vanilla, a teaspoon of vanilla extract in the melted butter can enhance the cake's flavor. Ensure the dough is fully thawed for even cooking.

Serving Suggestions

This Overnight Cinnamon Coffee Cake is delightful when served warm, dusted with powdered sugar. Pair it with a hot cup of coffee or tea for a perfect breakfast or brunch treat. For a special touch, serve alongside Butternut Marshmallows for a sweet contrast or a side of fresh fruit to balance the richness.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. To reheat, place individual slices in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or warm in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. This will help restore some of its original texture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use fresh dough instead of frozen rolls?

Yes, you can use fresh dough, but the texture will be different. Reduce the rising time accordingly, as fresh dough will not require an overnight rise. Keep an eye on the cake while it bakes to ensure it doesn’t overcook.

How can I make this recipe gluten-free?

To make this Overnight Cinnamon Coffee Cake gluten-free, substitute the frozen Parker House rolls with a gluten-free bread dough or gluten-free rolls. Ensure that all other ingredients, like the pudding mix and brown sugar, are certified gluten-free as well.

Can I add fruits or other flavors to this recipe?

Absolutely! You can mix in fruits like apples or berries, or even chocolate chips for added flavor. Just be mindful not to add too much moisture, as it can affect the baking time and texture. A small handful of additions will enhance the cake beautifully.
