Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in water.
  2. Cut margarine into sifted flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add yeast mixture, beaten egg, and scalded milk; beat well.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  5. Pour into a well-greased 8-inch square pan.
  6. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
  7. Dot with margarine and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
