Ingredients

  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in warm water.
  2. Cool milk to room temperature.
  3. Sift flour, sugar, and salt into a mixing bowl.
  4. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  5. Add beaten egg, softened yeast, and cooled milk; beat well.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
  7. Pour the dough into a greased 8-inch round pan.
  8. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled in size, about 40 minutes.
  9. Dot the risen dough with butter.
  10. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Cut into pie-shaped wedges to serve.
