Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pitted dark cherries and juice
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  4. Cool slightly and cut into squares.
  5. Pour cherry sauce over the cake before serving.
  6. Refrigerate leftovers.
